Hi! My name’s Andy Brown. I’ve been a photographer in New England for more than 20 years, flying under the radar, shooting weddings, events, and family photo shoots as well as for a number of exclusive clients - including IBEX Sports, Michael Timothy’s Dining Group, Ektron, New London Hospital, New England College, and La Cascade du Chocolat. I’m also the creative director for Martin & Associates, a communications group that focuses entirely on educational and nonprofit organizations. I always look at photography as a partnership between me and whoever I’m shooting. It’s never a one way street.
In February 2016, my wife and I experienced a house fire in which we lost nearly everything. It forced us to reevaluate a lot of things, both intentionally and not. An unintentional reevaluation occurred with the way I approach photography. I had always been deliberate about composition and color, but I wasn’t always patient. Now, I take a much more methodical approach to shooting. Where once I would forge ahead with a project, I now plan ahead. I actively look for subjects, and I shoot from even more angles than I did before. I’ve always tried to connect viewer to subject with my photography, and now I look for even more emotional connections beyond the surface.
I live in Hooksett with my wife, Samantha, and our two dogs, Ellie and Cleo.
